Last Light

Desert sunset from waaay back last summer. Can you believe it was ever warm outside? S'pose it'll ever happen again? I'll be ready if it does.

Maybe I need a field camera...

Probably my last entry from the University of Virginia--an anonymous neighbor of the Rotunda at UVA. I liked the red, white and blue contrasts here, but by necessity shot from close range with a wide angle lens. The resulting distortions and time to correct them (only sorta) made me think of possible future purchases ($ching$)

Eye Bender 2

Just a closeup of the "Change of Heart" post. I decided to leave a little anchor for the eye at the right edge of the photo for your eye to go to. Cropping to just the pattern of the round columns makes the light source invert (turn inside-out) back-and-forth for me. What do you think? Look at it as-is, then put a hand up over the right edge and look. Any difference?

Change of Heart

The Lawn area at UVA is lined along both sides with column-fronted buildings. At some point in time, someone had a change of heart about what style the columns should be. Apparently they changed their minds back again pretty quickly.

Dance with Me

From the University of Virginia campus in Charlottesville, Virginia. Very interesting place with a treasure trove of history and great architecture (at least in the old part of campus). Unfortunately, I was only able to spend a few hours there, but it would be cool to go back in the spring when there are a few more leaves...

Cold War Allegory

Hmmm, Hope I'm using that word right. This is really just a pile of farm junk ready to be hauled off. I just liked how the jets/rockets and tangled wire went together.

I've got a busy schedule for the next three weeks, so posts will be a little scarce until March. But I promise I'll be back.

Frost Lines

More pictures of snow and frost. Funny... we seem to have quite a bit of the stuff around here. I suppose I'll be taking more photos of it for another month or two. Don't mind a bit. It does great things with light that I really enjoy.
