Dual Widescreen Wallpaper-- Hot Storm

Jan. 29, 2012. This shot seems to be getting kind of popular at something over 10,000 downloads so far. If you're here looking for dual monitor wallpapers, I've collected several of mine into one location at

Check it out and leave me a comment while you're there. Cheers!

--------

I messed around a bit to turn a few of last week's shots into a dual monitor wallpaper for my setup at work. Resolution of the download file is 3840 x 1200. I can't really see how it looks here on my home machine (monitor is *way* too small), so if it doesn't turn out very well, this could go away, or possibly get repaired if I can do it. Cheerio!

I just can't seem to sleep in hotels. So I decided to work on a picture tonight instead. These are some aspens along the trail to Oliver Peak, near Victor Idaho.

You might notice I'm trying something new today. Rather than upload this photo to blogger, I've put it on deviantart.com, who most graciously store it at whatever resolution I send them, rather than capriciously whacking it down to 1600 pixels on a side. So, if one can download this and see it at its native resolution, I can begin posting some wallpaper-scale stuff, as has been requested. These aspen are 1920x1200 pixels, just right for a wide-aspect monitor on its side.

Sizzle

Ok, just one last lightning shot, then we'll move on. Oh, yes-- my sister will notice that I've finally taken her advice and started copyright marking these things. What do you think? Too big? Too fancy? All comments considered...

Twins

More lightshow from Sunday night's storm. Although it looks like a direct hit on my neighbor's shed, the lightning is actually quite a bit further away. Whew...

High Drama 3

I love lightning... just as long as its not aiming for *my* house.

Finger Rock 2

Here's Finger Rock, at the edge of City of Rocks National Reserve, near Albion, Idaho. This is number 2, because Finger Rock 1 is a rainy looking shot, and I didn't want to post yet another one of those without a brief respite. Enjoy some sun!
